Vintage Danish Ceramic Lidded Vase marked P. Ipsens Enke


This lidded vase was made between 1918 - 1955. Peter Ipsen opened the earthenware factory outside of Copenhagen. He died at age 45 and his widow continued his work. This piece is marked P. Ipsens Enke. Enke means widow and often the pieces are referred to as P.Ipsen Widow and works were created from 1843 - 1955. A crown mark on the piece indicates it was made between 1918-1955. The model number is 784. 

We love the shape, the color and size of this lidded vase. It is a truly great piece.
