Helga for Elizabeth Arden, The Salon

Helga, L.A.'s champion of beautiful fabrics and immaculately tailored designs, launched a decidedly new look in the spring of 1986. The new longer, softer silhouette prevails. "I'd say we're all moving away from the hard tailoring of the menswear look," said Helga, who presented her spring, 1986, collection at the Elizabeth Arden Salon in Beverly Hills.

Helga’s elegant suits, cocktail dresses and formal gowns relied on the lustrous silk and wool fabrics she found on jaunts to Europe.

Helga was established in 1947 by Robert Oppenheimer and his wife Helga Kallman Oppenheimer. Helga’s company closed in 1986 after she introduced the collection for Elizabeth Arden.
