Vintage 1970s Estelle Allardale Coat by Gunter Ruecker
This particular coat was part of Gunter Project 2. Designed by Gunter Ruecker who studied at FIT and after working for a clothing firm in his native Germany, he returned to New York. In 1968 he started his own line, Gunter Project 2.
It is pure fabulous.
A bulky fabric made feminine by the amazing style and cut. Cinched in at the waist with a snap and hook and a belt.
Big lapels and a skirt that flares out draws attention in all the right ways.
Allover weave of charcoal and cream with brown and beige plaid overlay. Trim is charcoal and browns braided together.
No size tag but fits a 4/6 (measured flat waist is 15")
Condition: In Very Good Condition
